Founded by Sara, a Certified Pharmacy Technician with over a decade of experience, ShepRx Authorizations provides fast, accurate support for medication prior authorizations across both provider and pharmacy settings. With formal training in insurance resolution, billing, and coding, Sara has worked alongside corporate and independent pharmacies, private practices, and large internal medicine groups. Her expertise spans a wide range of therapeutic areas, including dermatology, gastroenterology, rheumatology, PAH, growth hormone, and mental health.ShepRx was built with a singular goal: to remove the administrative burden of the prior authorization process so healthcare providers can stay focused on delivering care. Known for accuracy, reliability, and deep industry insight, Sara leads ShepRx with a commitment to efficiency, compassion, and personalized service. 2. Sign the Paperwork
You’ll receive:
A Service Agreement and Business Associate Agreement (BAA)
Instructions for granting web-based EMR access to ShepRx.

We Just Need Three

To keep things moving quickly, please always include:
✅ Completed ShepRx Referral Form
✅ Insurance card (front & back)
✅ Recent chart notes supporting the diagnosis and most recent Biologic Lab Screening results (QF-Gold, TB), if ShepRx does not have EMR permissions.
Note: We do not contact patients for missing insurance info — it is the provider’s responsibility to ensure accuracy. ShepRx will make a good faith effort to ensure patient insurance is accurate and active before submitting an authorization request.If EMR access is granted, you can skip everything after the first checkmark. We can utilize the access you provide to your EMR to do the rest.

All communication, documentation, and workflow tools used by ShepRx are HIPAA-compliant, and we never share, sell, or misuse client or patient data.As a third-party support service, ShepRx operates under Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) with our provider partners and maintains clear boundaries to ensure we function within the scope of permitted use and disclosure.ShepRx is not a pharmacy or prescribing entity, and we do not make treatment decisions. We exist solely to facilitate faster access to medically necessary therapies by supporting the administrative process with accuracy, integrity, and clinical insight.
